Monte da Pedra do Sol is a typical Alentejo farmhouse, a place for leisure and holidays, which is intended to be complemented by a small wine farm.
The farmhousei s part of a property measuring around 10 hectares and occupies an area of 630 sqm.
We found a livable house with a notable level of comfort. However, it was the new owner’s wish that Traçado Regulador give the space its characteristic mark, without defacing it or carrying out major works.
The intervention was limited to a “face lift”, without significant spatial changes, and the improvement of infrastructure.
The existing 7 suites became 8. The kitchen was connected and opened to the living room, doing without an intermediate corridor, causing the living room space to grow from 90 m2 to 111 m2, which added to the kitchen space gives a total of 135 sqm. This small change also included a guest bathroom and a wine cellar.
There was also a concern to requalify the outdoor leisure space, renewing outdoor floors and the swimming pool and including a fire pit.
It is worth highlighting the change in the entrance, which allows the perception of the outside space the moment you enter, a recurring feature in Traçado Regulador projects. Outdoor gardens and lighting were other concerns of this project.
