This project refers to the rehabilitation of 2 buildings on Rua do Salitre in Lisbon. Its objective was to preserve their original characteristics, adapting them to new regulatory requirements and contemporary life.
The intervention also aimed at recovering the original features of the building on the back, recovering the original architectural layout and public spaces.
On the other hand, the vertical accesses, as well as the old stucco ceilings, remain inside.
Despite the strong legal conditions to which this area is subject, where various plans and regulations overlap, apartments were created with all the comfort required by current standards, with their own personality guaranteed by the preserved memory of their primitive characteristics.
The total construction area is 1450 m2, in a total of 21 apartments.
